Hello

I'm back after a very long break of exactly 3 weeks. :O Didn't mean to be gone that long but I just haven't had the drive to blog. Until now. I'm really really sorry to those who thought that I stopped blogging indefinitely. I'll try to get some posts up after this one. :)

I've been alright. Bought some stuff in preparation for Chinese New Year. Can't wait!!! :D Less than two weeks to go! Brothers are coming back soon, with the exception of the eldest one. Can't wait to see them!! :D

This is going to be a baking update post. So...

These are the cupcakes that I made for Pat. It took me so long just to make 25 cupcakes and frost them like that. I bake really really slowly; the book said that the preparation time for the cupcakes is 10 minutes but I took at least 30 minutes to whip up a single batch of the batter. HAHA! Believe it or not, the white base icing for the letters and the flowers + leaves took the longest because they had to be leveled and there had to be a considerable and equal amount of icing on each cupcake. And I also had to wait for the frosting to cool and harden before using because whipped cream frosting sucks like that.

I BOUGHT WILTON DECORATING TIPS!!! :D I used them to frost the icing. So pretty but so expensive. I wanted to get the #1M one but Le Apple doesn't have them. :(

Also made sponge cake with whipped cream. :D



The whipped cream didn't have a chance to cool before I took this picture so it's very messy. The filling inside wasn't evenly distributed too because I didn't slice the cake perfectly straight. :( I have to work on that. It was so much better than my previous failed cake though. It was really fluffy and the whole cake didn't collapse when I sliced it so that's good. :D

I made my first ever cheesecake the other day!!! I didn't take any pictures but the cake was good, in my opinion of course. :)

And yes, I'm the #1 consumer everything that I bake. Mainly because I bake stuff that I like to eat. HAHA! I'm just making myself fat by baking so much. But it's so, so fun. :D

P.S. We got our juniors last Monday!! I think they're all capable of doing a great job and we'll definitely have loads of fond memories together. :)
